Leather Care Instructions
Our leather products are made from genuine leather and are designed to develop character and a beautiful natural patina over time. With the right care, your leather product can last for many years.
Keep Leather Dry
Avoid exposing your leather product to excessive water or moisture. If it does get wet, gently wipe away the moisture with a clean, dry cloth and allow it to dry naturally.
Do not use a hairdryer, heater or direct heat to speed up the drying process.
Keep Away From Direct Sunlight
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause leather to fade or change colour. Store your leather product in a cool, dry place when it is not being used.
Clean Gently
For everyday dirt and dust, wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth.
For more stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth and gently wipe the affected area. Always test any cleaning product on a small, hidden area first.
Condition Your Leather
Leather can naturally dry out over time. Applying a suitable leather conditioner occasionally can help keep the leather supple and prevent it from becoming excessively dry.
Use only a small amount and follow the instructions provided with the conditioner. Avoid over-conditioning.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Do not use alcohol, bleach, household cleaning products, solvents or other harsh chemicals on your leather product. These can damage the leather, affect its colour or cause permanent marks.
Be Careful With Friction
Repeated rubbing against rough surfaces can cause scratches and wear. While minor marks are a natural part of genuine leather and contribute to its character, excessive friction should be avoided.
Storage
When storing your leather product for an extended period:
-
Empty the product completely.
-
Keep it in a cool, dry place.
-
Store it away from direct sunlight.
-
Avoid plastic bags that can trap moisture.
-
Use a breathable cotton or fabric dust bag where possible.
-
Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
Natural Leather Characteristics
Genuine leather is a natural material, so variations in colour, texture, grain and small natural marks are normal. These characteristics make each product unique.
With regular use, your leather product will naturally develop a patina and may become softer and richer in appearance over time.
A little care goes a long way. Treat your leather well, and it will continue to tell its story for years to come.
