2. Products

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements, colours, and other information on our website are accurate.

As many of our products are made from genuine leather, natural variations in colour, texture, grain, markings, and appearance are normal. These variations are characteristics of genuine leather and should not be considered defects.

Product colours may also appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings, and lighting.

We reserve the right to update product information, pricing, availability, and specifications without prior notice.

3. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is only accepted once payment has been successfully received and the order has been confirmed by us.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

The product is unavailable.
There is an obvious pricing or product description error.
We are unable to fulfil the order.
Payment cannot be successfully processed.
We suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will arrange an appropriate refund.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be successfully completed before an order is processed.

We reserve the right to change product prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.

5. Handmade and Made-to-Order Products

Some of our products may be handmade or made to order.

Because genuine leather is a natural material and our products may be handcrafted, minor variations between products may occur.

Made-to-order and customised products may require additional processing time. We will advise you if your order requires additional time.

Customised products may be subject to different return or cancellation conditions. These conditions will be communicated before production where applicable.

6. Delivery

We deliver orders throughout South Africa.

Depending on your delivery address, order size, and other circumstances, Old Transvaal Leather will determine the most suitable delivery method.

Customers in the Johannesburg area may receive their orders through personal delivery. A R100 local delivery fee applies to personal local deliveries.

For other orders, we may use a courier service.

Customers will be notified of the delivery method being used. Courier deliveries will be provided with a waybill or tracking number once the order has been dispatched.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by couriers, public holidays, weather, incorrect delivery information, or circumstances outside our control may occur.

7. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Products must meet the requirements set out in that policy before a return or refund can be approved.

Customised or made-to-order products may be subject to different return conditions where applicable.

Nothing in these Terms of Service is intended to limit any rights that you may have under applicable South African consumer protection law.

8. Product Care

Customers are responsible for following the recommended care instructions provided with applicable leather products.

Genuine leather can change in appearance over time through normal use, exposure to sunlight, moisture, oils, and other environmental conditions.

Normal wear and changes that occur through proper use are not necessarily considered manufacturing defects.

You agree to use our website lawfully and responsibly.

You may not use our website to:

Commit or attempt to commit fraud.
